Prologue – As If Time Stood Still For weeks, I couldn’t bring myself to write. It wasn’t because I lost interest, and it wasn’t for lack of ideas. My heart and mind were simply too heavy. Everything froze when we heard the news of my mother’s third cancer. I had always wanted to keep sharing pieces of our daily life here, but this time, writing took a back seat to simply enduring. So today, I want to share gently why I had to stop writing — and what this unexpected season has meant for our family. 1. A Small Sore on the Tongue – The First Cancer In 2019, my mom mentioned a small sore on her tongue. We all thought it would heal in a few days, but strangely, it didn’t. Even after medication and ointment from the ENT clinic, nothing changed. The doctor suggested a biopsy at a larger hospital. I will never forget my mother’s face when the results came back.
